Introduction
Pastor Samuel Koffie, the visionary leader of SGBC, was born on the 4th of July in Prestea, Western Region, Ghana. Raised in a family and church that did not embrace the ministry of the Holy of Spirit, Pastor Samuel felt out of place from a tender age. His destined call into ministry created an innate desire to serve God deeply but he was without a direct mentor to guide him spiritually, he relied on the disciplined upbringing from his parents.
From 1990 to 1996, Pastor Samuel fellowshipped with the Jehovah Witnesses during his time in junior and senior secondary school in Bohyen, Kumasi. However, by divine intervention, he chose not to be baptized into the organization in 1996 and eventually stopped attending. Sensing something crucial missing in his spiritual journey, he sought further understanding of Christ.
Turning Point
Back in Prestea in 1997, Pastor Samuel joined his family church founded by his grandfather Moses Archer. His youthful years were dedicated to finding his purpose in Christ, though a struggle, God’s faithfulness preserved his calling. His preaching ministry began in 2014, where he served and preached in the church. It was during this period that a pastor and a prominent leader of the church attempted to introduce him to esoteric and mystic doctrine and organizations in 2015. By the divine mercies of God, Pastor Samuel not only refused the idea but fought the system. He was empowered and organized the youth to demand answers from the church leadership on why the ministry of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in other tongues was denied and the move of the Holy Spirit among the youth always quenched.
This period marked a turning point as God spoke prophetically and confirmed Pastor Samuel’s call to ministry and led him to establish a ministry. His ministry has since been known for profound teaching and powerful demonstrations of the Holy Spirit and power. Pastor Samuel carries a special burden for transforming and shaping minds through imparting Godly knowledge and wisdom. He is called and trained by God to raise a generation of believers who are kingdom minded.
